Embedding PDFs in blackboard learning modules
Within Blackboard sites, Learning Modules let you organize and present students with a collection of related material and activities (similar to Folders but more interactive and neatly structured with a clickable Table of Contents on the left of the screen).
PDFs can be added to Learning Modules but there is more than one way to have them displayed. If they are added as Attachments they will be displayed as links, which students must click to open; however, there is a way to avoid this extra click and have the PDF open automatically within the Learning Module.
All efforts have been made to ensure materials created by the EDU comply with current accessibility guidelines (JISC: Support for learners with disabilities).
If further assistance is required with accessibility matters please contact the student support section in your academic partner UHI: Accessing learner support.
We welcome any comments on how to improve this unit. Please feel free to pass these on at any time.
