Mobile recording apps

Apps are also available to enable the uploading of video content straight from mobile devices to the UHI streaming server.

The TechSmith Fuse app is freely available for Apple and Android devices and is currently available to transfer videos from mobile devices to Camtasia Relay (or TechSmith  Relay as it is sometimes called) and then added to the UHI streaming server. The University of Stirling have created a guide that shows how videos are transferred using the Fuse app, although certain steps in the process might be different on the UHI instance of Camtasia Relay.

A new app called Go Connect will become available over the summer that will also allow the uploading of videos from smart devices. This app should become functional in July and more information will be available once that service is live.
